It's a back to back Burm-Fest in the SBPT, as The Vowel picked up another victory by employing the patented BPPT (Burmese Power Poker Technique) to win the August title, and host her 2nd, 3rd floor Fire Dragon Casino-Climb of Death Tourney in September. It was a mixed bag, as we welcomed back Marshall from his 6 month sabbatical, Fartman from his ever busy schedule, and bid an early farewell to Popeye, who went straight to the ER for an undisclosed ailment. The play was again up and down, as "interesting" calls and plays were made to trim the field down to those that could weather the storm. The three front runners for the yearly chase were the ones that lasted longest, and Ei crushed Slick's dreams of getting what seemed like his 1000th victory by hitting a higher flush to get heads up with Turtle, and although he put up a hard-shelled defense, he ended up Turtle soup when all was said and done. Congrats to the champion, and get well to Popeye! Hope to see you all in September, even if it's at various steps of "The Climb"...
