And yet another win for the Burmese Buzz Saw.

The “Burmese Buzz Saw” Chops Down Her Competition!

Please don’t let the gentle smile and quiet demeanor fool you for one second!  This lady takes no prisoners… she takes chips!  “Awe-in” literally took out over half of the competition by herself.  Facing eleven competitors on her road to victory,… she single handedly took down six of them!  In one hand Slick, with Big Slick suited and Ian (the newest member to the S.B.P.T.) with pocket tens were both sidelined by “The Saw” as her Ace/eight off suit made two pair.   Her cards kept coming and she kept betting!

With just three players left (“Awe-in”, Short Stack, and Sixth Man), she made a gutsy play with pocket “Ducks”!  With three over cards on the table and all of Sixth Man’s money pushed in, the words I call sent Sixth Man to the rail in third place.  A familiar place for Sixth Man since he’s finished third a couple of times before.

We Are Now Heads Up!

It’s Short Stack and “Awe-in” set to battle it out!  Unfortunately for Short Stack… that’s just what he was.  “The Kid” was the chip under-dog about 7-1!  At one point it looked as if he would double up until the river paired the board and created a split pot situation.  Not too long after that, an “Awe-in” was announced and a call was made.  Short Stack again had the best hand before the flop.  With an Ace/Ten off suit against an Ace/Six suited, Short Stack was in a dominating position.  Just then, if you listened close, you could hear a cutting sound in the distance.  As each card fell, the sound got louder and louder until Short Stack too fell victim to “The Saw”!  “Awe-ins” Ace/Six suited turned the nuts flush and ended this months victory aspirations for “The Kid”.

Congratulations to “The Saw” for a great tournament win and for her show of “Girl Power”.  If we could harness all the estrogen power that’s within the S.B.P.T. right now we wouldn’t have to buy oil from Saudi Arabia!

Some Notable Hands!

1:  El Guapo on short stack goes “Awe-in” with an inside straight draw of A,2_4,5 against Fishy’s pair of Aces and turns the three he needed to double up!

2:  Scooters pocket sixes hold up against Shane’s A/J.  Shane flopped his Ace but Alex turned her six for the victory and the double up!  Shane rivered a Jack to give him two pair but it wasn’t enough.

3:  Paul pulled a Paula and went “Awe-in” with a straight (or so he thought) of 7,8,9,10!  The problem is, you need five cards to make a poker hand!  Needless to say, his tournament night ended right then.

4:  Sixth Man took out the reigning trophy holder to capture the much-desired Headhunter award!

Another great S.B.P.T. tournament!  We would like to thank Shane and Laura for great job of hosting and we hope to see everyone next month at “The Lily Pad”!  Congrat’s again to “The Burmese Buzz Saw”!
