Little Hill Casino/Heart Break Hotel

Call the sheriff, the F.B.I., Alcohol/Tobacco/& Firearms!  There has been a criminal act committed at “Little Hill Casino”!  Someone stole all the chips! And I mean literally, stole them!  Hand after hand, Ian (A.K.A Butterfingers) pushed his money in with the worst hand; (sometimes a 4 to 1 underdog) only to find that when the hand was over, he had more chips and some bodies night was over.

Before the break, Sandy’s pocket nines looked to be good against Ian’s pocket sevens. The flop was all fours, which gave both of them a boat and made Sandy’s lead even stronger. Both of them pushed their money to the middle and turned their cards face up showing Sandy’s huge lead in the hand. The turn was no help to either player but the river was a big help to Butterfingers. A seven hit on the river to improve Ian’s boat to sevens over fours while Sandy’s boat stayed fours over nines giving Ian a lot more chips and Sandy a re-buy opportunity.

It didn’t take long to realize that the night belonged to Butterfingers!

The first hand back from the break involved another All-in showdown with Ian. Slick raised before the flop with pocket Queens and with no hesitation, Ian promptly called with King/eight off suit. The flop came eight high giving

Ian a pair. Slick bet out $100,000 only to be raised another $100,000. After some quick analysis an All-in was called by Slick.  Not knowing that he was a 4 to 1 underdog, Ian makes the call and trips the eight on the turn to send Slick to the sidelines for the night.

One thing that the “Little Hill Casino” does is a supply party popper for the winner of a hand that sends someone packing for the night to pop, and I think Ian just about popped them all!  Time after time, he’d be the underdog when the chips go to the center and shortly there after you would hear a pop only to see Butterfingers pulling the string!

Sponge was another victim of the bad beat. Sponge was leading the hand with a pair of jacks when the money got pushed in. All Ian had was an inside draw to a straight! Just to be clear…Ian called the All-in bet from the Sponge (who was second in chips) with an inside draw to a straight only to river the ten that he needed to win and send the Sponge to the murky waters of the losers lagoon.

I have yet to mention anything about Awe-In (who took third) and El Guapo (who took second) because there is really not a lot to say other than they were able to hang on the longest and avoided tangling with Butterfingers until the end.

All had a good time, and the trophy is going to new places! Congratulations to Butterfingers on an impressive victory! We’ll get you next time!
