Welcome Back! Many of the newest players are not familiar with Slicks Picks so I wanted to go old school for a while. Enjoy!

December 2011
Slick: 1st
place
Well here we are... a time and a place I had hoped would never come to pass, and as I'm staring a final December square in the face, I'm calling my last shot through Slick's Picks. This pick isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility though. December has been good to me and I'm a bit overdue to take the trophy home and of the players scheduled to attend, I have the second best average finish position this year and am leading in overall points, so I have a shot!
Turtle: 2nd place
The fight tonight is going to be for second and third in the tour title race. Turtle... in my mind is the clear favorite to get the second place hardware but the Vowel and Lucky Chucky are hot on his his heels and definitely within striking distance.
The Vowel: 3rd place
This may be giving her too much credit due to the fact she was out first in her last hosting situation but she has the third best average finish position of the players attending tonight. Of the other two times she won, she was out at the halfway mark in one tournament and second out in another so not a very stellar player/host record.
Lucky Chucky: 4th place
After starting the year slowly, Lucky Chucky had a late year resurgence which has put him in hardware contention. He also won the last time the Vowel hosted and it was in pure Lucky Chucky fashion. If Lucky doesn't get lucky... don't expect him to get his name engraved.
El Guapo: 5th
place
He's had a couple respectable tournaments over the last couple of months but nothing to offset the rest of the year. The only thing he can get in the way of year-end respect is in the role of the spoiler!
Marshal: 6th place
Just when I think he's getting back on track... he gets two-outted... or whatever that was. Let's see if he can turn his year around in one night.
Diego: 7th place
It looked as if he was walking off the winner last month but he got nipped in the end. Unless someone decides to continue this, he will never have tasted victory!
