What are the odds?
This Month’s query:
Since we have two new people joining the tour this month, what are the odds that the trophy goes home with one, and second place is awarded to the other?
I'm estimating 15 players this month, and since this "WATO" requires that either one has to win, the math would look like this:
2/15 x 1/14 = 2/210 which equates to a 105 to1 wager.
What this is saying is that there is a 2 in 15 chance that one of them will win (skill level not taken into account), leaving a 1 in 14 chance for second.
If anyone would like this wager, I'll take it at 100 to 1 for the normal one credit wager.
