"What Are The Odds?"

This Months Query:

What are the odds that a player who reloads his entire stack during the first hour, goes on to win the tournament?

The reason I have chosen this WATO's is that both of my (Big Slick's) tournament wins this year came on the heels of a complete re-buy.

This of course, is a speculation wager. What I mean by that is, I can only guess who or how many complete re-buys there will be during the first hour to base the "line" on. But based on what I've seen over the years is that 1-3 players completely reload during this re-buy period. I would say an average of 2.

So if we have roughly 14 players attending and 2 of them re-buy an entire stack (2/14) and only 1 of the 14 players can win (1/14), as flawed as it may be, it seems to me to be a pretty easy calculation which may look like this: 1/14 x 2/14 = 2/196 or 1/98 for a 98 to 1 shot.

I will offer this @ 90 to 1 for anyone interested.

Good luck everyone! Make me pay for my ignorance!

Thanks For Playing At Big Slicks Sports Book!
