Sponge's Speculations
It’s been 2 1/2 years of play for the SBPT and the stats data is starting to take shape. I will attempt to decipher some of these numbers for you so you can make your own predictions for next year. Before you see the stats and jump to conclusions, consider the following:
how long has the player been playing the SBPT circuit
number of tournaments played vs. number of tournaments missed
reasons for missing tournaments
ability to play the 2007 season
My predictions are based on counting all 12 dates and that the players listed will show 11 of 12 dates. If the player misses more than 1 date they will be dropped by 1 space each tournament they miss. My predictions for the 2007 season look like this.

An editors note on the 2006 season. I think that since both players at the top played all 12 games I would like to give El Guapo his due props for his overall 5 point lead over Slick. Nice consistent play from a guy who has never won the trophy. His win this year tops the prior years winner taking 67% of the overall points available topping Sponges average of 66%. Great job El Guapo.....props to you big man! You are a champion in my book!
